The Inspiration

In the 70s-90s I used to watch my father make homemade Whiskey. Some would call it hooch, but it was so much more. The taste was on par with some of today's top brands.

I didn't know at the time, that the recipe went back to the 1800s. As the story goes, ancestors of mine, Smith Woodson and his son Jones created the recipe

while "working" for a distillery in Lexington Kentucky. That is about all I know.

That recipe and formulation had been passed down, unbeknownst to me, all the way to my father, who made his own low budget version of it.

My first taste of an alcoholic beverage was his creation. I guess it is how I became an avid Scotch Whiskey drinker.

A friend later introduced me to the "Glens" Scottish whiskies and I was hooked.

The Motivation

Years ago, Due to health reasons, I gave up drinking Alcohol.

Over those years I found myself missing the taste...so I began a journey to take what my family had created and enhance it to the premium level of those "Glens" (Valley of Gaelic) while also adding in my own flavors and mashes to the Barley. It had to be uniquely mine. The only difference was that mine would be 100% alcohol free.

The trick was to create something smooth and delicious, with all the flavor that one would expect from a premium Scotch Whiskey...

while staying true to being 100% non-alcohol....and here we are!

The Process

I worked with master distillers in the UK and Scotland to achieve exactly what I was looking for. Being the stubborn and particular person that I am...it took a while. I won't reveal the recipe and formulation of course but will say...

Although 100% Barley (single Malt) mash has hints of flavors (hint of sweetness - vanilla bean - and hint of prunus dulcis -nutty- that balance perfectly.
The fermentation and Distillation Process is top tier.
The maturation/aging gives it the perfect flavor, color and aroma.
Micheaux is stored in young oak casts of course. It adds to the flavor, color and aromas while removing undesirable traits.
Distilled and bottled in Scotland among some of the greatest "Glen" Whiskeys.

Why Make A Non-Alcoholic Scotch Whiskey?

I am a non-alcohol Drinker. Also a friend of mine was charged with a DUI and is prevented from drinking, however she decided to stop drinking completely. I have realized that she was not alone. On top of that, there are millions of people who go out and although they want to drink, can't because they have been assigned as the designated driver. Lastly, some just don't want to drink or never have had a drink and don't ever plan to.
